変動する日本列島
Island arc tectonics in Japan
本講義は、地球の地質・地形の変動を理解するのが目的である。その中で沈み込み帯をもつ日本列島は、最も変動の激しい地域である。そこでは、地震，火山，断層運動だけでなく、地すべりなどが生じ、地質や地形が大きく変動している。本講義は、この変動する日本列島を題材に、その変動のメカニズムや地質・地形に対する影響に関して考える。
The Japan Island is characterized by the tectonic activities related with subduction zone, volcanos, faults and landslides. The main purpose of this course is to review basic knowledge and understand the significance of tectonic factors and to consider their influence for geology and geography.
日本列島がどのように形成されたか、また現在の日本列島の地形変化を理解する。
The purpose of this course is to understand the formation history of the Island Arc and recent geomorphic changes in Japan.
本講義は、以下の概要で進める。前半部で日本列島の地形形成環境を理解してもらい、後半部では日本列島がどのように形成されたかを解説する。
１．日本列島の地形形成環境
A. 河成作用と地形形成 （4回）
(1) 砕屑物の運搬プロセスと河道形成
(2) 河成段丘形成過程
B. 斜面変動とマスムーブメント （4回）
(1) 斜面崩壊の諸性質
(2) 堆積物の剪断破壊と応力
(3) 斜面崩壊のメカニズム・運動学
２．日本列島形成史
日本列島がどのように形成されたかを以下の内容で概説する。講義はスライドとプリントを使用し、各テーマ２回ほどで進めていく。
A. 地球の内部・表層の構造（2回）
B. 地球表層の岩石とその形成場（2回）
C. 日本列島の地帯構造区分（1回）
D. 日本列島の形成史（2回）

必要な資料を配布する。日本列島の形成（岩波文庫）, 図解プレートテクトニクス入門（木村学・大木勇人、講談社、ブルーバックス）、絵でわかる日本列島の誕生（堤之恭、講談社）
