日本におけるリテラシーの歴史
History of literacy in Japan
現代における教育の最大の特質は、文字を使用しておこなわれる知識形成と人間形成とが教育の中核として位置づけられているところにある。この講義では、このような教育の在り方が日本においてどのように展開し現在に至ったのかということに関して歴史的に講ずるものである。これにより、教育と人間形成全体のなかで文字およびその教育がどのような位置を占めるのかについて考察し、日本の歴史に即して、リテラシーがどのように形成されてきたのかについての理解を育成する。
History of literacy in Japan is introduced, focusing on the relation between the human formation and literacy in Japan.
教育と人間形成の歴史的形成過程を明らかにする一環として、文字についての教育、および文字を使用した教育に焦点をあてて、その展開過程について講ずる。これにより、日本におけるリテラシーの歴史、およびリテラシーを形成する教育の歴史について、専門的な知見を形成することを目的とする。
The aim of this course is to help students acquire the historical process of distribution of literacy and education in premodern Japan and Meiji Japan.
