Course Title (授業題目)

Cross-cultural communication

授業の目的と概要

この授業では、日本語学習者との会話セッションを通して日本語を母語としない日本語学習者との異文化コミュニケーションへの理解を深め、円滑なコミュニケーションができるようになることを目指す。日本語学習者との会話セッションへの参加経験、論文の講読や講義、他の受講生とのディスカッションをしながら異文化コミュニケーションについて考える。

Course Objectives and Course Synopsis(授業の目的と概要)

This course aims to deepen students' understanding of cross-cultural communication with non-native speakers of Japanese through conversation sessions, while also enabling them to communicate smoothly. Students will consider cross-cultural communication through the experience of participating in conversation sessions with learners of Japanese, reading papers, lectures, and discussions with other students.

・異文化接触によって生じる問題とその解決、その際の学習者の心的側面について理解する

Learning Goals(学習の到達目標)

-To be able to explain what communicative competence is
-To be able to improve communication skills necessary for teaching Japanese
-Understand and use the knowledge and skills necessary for smooth communication with people from different cultural backgrounds
-Understand and use aspects and strategies of verbal and non-verbal behavior to achieve smooth communication
-To enhance students' understanding the problems and solutions that arise from cross-cultural contact and the mental aspects of the learner during such contact
-To enhance students' understanding multilingual and multicultural society and how people of different cultures and languages can coexist in it

成績評価方法

授業への参加態度30%、授業での課題（毎週のラーニングジャーナルを含む）30%、最終レポート40%

教科書および参考書

教科書は使用しません。資料は授業内で配布します。

授業時間外学習

この授業では、第2回目の授業から第14回目の授業まで17:30-18:30に実施する日本語学習者との会話セッションに参加してもらいます。授業の終了は18:30になります。
