機能主義的言語理論入門／Introduction to Functional Linguistic Theory

授業の目的と概要/Object and Summary of Class

今日の機能主義的言語理論には、機能的談話文法（Functional Discourse Grammar）、役割指示文法（Role and Reference Grammar [RRG]）があるが、今回は、生成文法、理論的前提を部分的に共有する認知文法（Cognitive Grammar）との相違を
踏まえた上で、RRGを紹介する。

Today's functionalist linguistic theory includes Functional Discourse Grammar) and Role and Reference Grammar [RRG]). In this class, I will mainly introduce RRG, highlighting the differences between generative grammar and cognitive grammar (a linguistic theory that shares some of its theoretical premises).

機能主義的言語理論の主な特徴と生成文法・認知文法との相違点を理解すると共に、その知識を自分の研究テーマに応用することが出来るようになる。

You will be able to understand the differences between functional linguistic theory, on the one hand, and generative grammar and cognitive grammar, on the other, and to apply that knowledge to your research.

授業内容・目的・方法/Contents and progress schedule of class-授業計画

各テーマを概観する講義を行うと共に、その後、必要に応じて受講者の間で議論をすることにより理解を深めていく。

I will give a lecture that gives an overview of each theme and, if necessary, will have students discuss specific problems for the purpose of deepening their understanding.
