The first day of class will be announced on Google Classroom.
This course aims to initiate participants to the basic skills of academic research and academic writing. Participants will be given opportunity to present their research outline and/or their papers during the semester.
Participants will have to read and discuss chapters from assigned books. We will especially focus on how to write a research paper/articles. Students willing to publish their research at an early stage are welcome. At the end of the semester, participants will be asked to present their work in class.
This course is scheduled as follows:
1. Introduction - How to write a research paper/an article
2. Reviewing research methodology
3. How to succeed in time-management and submit articles
4. Academic writing and research skills development
5. Improve visibility- Publication strategy
6. Literature review
7. In-class presentations
Acquire the basic skills of academic research and academic writing.
In-class participation/Assignments: 60 %
Final presentation: 40 %
Reading assignments will be distributed in class, or via Google Classroom.
Students will be asked to read some book chapters and prepare for in-class presentations.
This course will be conducted in English.
Attendance is mandatory for all scheduled classes.
