授業の目的と概要/Object and summary of class

The objective of this course is for students to deepen their understanding of their future careers and broaden their choices. For international students, the focus will be on comparing the career environments in Japan and their home countries, as well as gaining a comprehensive understanding of job hunting in Japan.

学習の到達目標/Goal of study

The goal of study encompass understanding career theories, comparing labor environments, enhancing communication, improving information gathering skills, deepening personal insights, refining logical thinking and problem-solving, and developing effective question and feedback responses. Through these, students gain practical skills and profound personal understanding beyond theoretical knowledge.

2. Comparison of Labor Environments and Systems
- Learning about and comparing labor environments and systems in Japan and other countries.

3. Comparison of Job Hunting Processes
- Understanding job hunting in Japan and comparing it with job hunting processes in other countries.

4. Guest Speakers
- Exchange of opinions on careers with Japanese students.

5. Company Analysis and Application Intentions
- Analyzing companies through their websites and summarizing intentions for applications.

6. Discussion with Foreign Workers
- Discussion with foreign workers in Japan about the advantages and disadvantages of working in the country.

7. Case Study①: Researching Jobs from Job Sites
- Researching and presenting jobs of interest from job sites in both Japan and other countries.

8. Career Consideration through Analysis of Listed Companies' Reports
- Learning methods to collect and analyze career information from reports of listed companies.

9. Consideration of Entrepreneurship as a Career Choice
- Understanding the situation of entrepreneurship in Japan and considering the pros and cons of starting a business.

10. Presentation on Career Development Issues
- Studying contemporary issues in career development and presenting comparisons between Japan and other countries.

11. Understanding the Business Philosophy of Kazuo Inamori
- Understanding Kazuo Inamori's business philosophy and summarizing the skills and abilities needed to become a future manager or entrepreneur.

12. Reading and Understanding Academic Papers
- Deepening understanding of career paths in Japan, comparing differences with home countries, and reconsidering and summarizing personal career paths.

13. Understanding and Practical Application of Job Hunting Guidebooks
- Understanding the Japanese job hunting process through guidebooks, self-analysis, and planning schedules for job hunting in Japan.

14. Guest Speaker: Insights from Foreign Entrepreneurs in Japan
- Learning about the advantages and disadvantages of working in Japan from foreign entrepreneurs who have established businesses.

15. Course Conclusion
- Overall summary of learning outcomes and reflections on career development.
