人体の構造と機能
Structure and function of human body
ヒトに関する生物学を人体の構造と機能を中心に学ぶ。これにより、上級学年での学習に必要な基礎的な学力を身につけることを目標とする。ごく基本的な生物学のみ高校時代に学んだ学生であっても、充分に理解できるレベルを目指す。教科書は英語のHuman Biology（改訂17版）を指定する。この教科書で使用される基本的な英語の術語の日本語訳を教員が予め別に配布する。英語の教科書を使用する理由は、改訂が頻回であり情報が新しいこと、および早くから英語で新しい情報を自ら収集できるようになってもらいたいためである。2回の授業毎に課題に関するレポートを提出し、最終日に筆記試験を行う。７つのレポートと筆記試験の結果を総合して成績判定を行う。諸事情により筆記試験を実施できない場合は、レポートのみで成績を判定する。授業の情報、資料配布、レポート課題はclass roomから配信する。授業は全て原則対面で行うが、状況によっては遠隔方式の利用も検討する。
人体の構造と機能に関する基本的な知識を身につけると共に、この領域における基本的な英語の術語を習得することを到達目標とする。
Goals of this course is obtaining fundamental knowledge regarding the structure and function of human body and understanding English technical terms in this area.
授業は原則対面とする。資料やレポートの提出はclassroomで行う。欠席者は配布資料等で勉強する。

2回の授業毎に課題に関するレポートを提出する。7月28日に筆記試験を予定している。レポートと筆記試験を総合的に評価して成績を判定する。諸事情により筆記試験を実施できない場合は、レポートのみで成績を判定する。不合格者には再試験を実施する可能性がある。
Evaluation is performed based on a report submitted after every two classes, and a written test scheduled on August 5th. If the written test is cancelled, we will evaluate the performance of students using only the seven reports. Students may be able to take a make-up test.
授業の予定で指定されたテキストの該当箇所を必ず予習してくること。1回目を除いて奇数回目の授業の初めに前2回の授業内容の小テストを行うので、授業時間外に充分に復習しておくこと。
Students are required to prepare for the assigned part of the designated textbook for each class. They are also required to make a thorough review to be prepared for a mini test that the students take every two classes.
