多文化共生社会へのアプローチを探る/Exploring an Approach to Intercultural Cohesion
我が国における外国人労働者や留学生の受け入れをめぐる議論に象徴されるように、近年、グローバリゼーションに伴って国境を越える人の移動が活発化し、各地で社会の多文化化―民族・文化・言語の多様化―が進行している。しかし、それは各社会に格差・摩擦・紛争を生じさせ、「多文化共生」を切実で困難な課題として立ち上がらせています。この授業では、そうした21世紀が抱える課題について、関連の文献やメディアの読解・視聴、現場のフィールドワーク、外国人受け入れに関わる関係者との議論、受講生同士のグループワークを通して理解を深めることを目的とします。また、そうした作業を通して、読む・書く・聴く・話すといった基本的コミュニケーション力を磨きます。
As the argument on the acceptance of foreign workers and international students in Japan shows, the mobility of people across national borders has been increasing in recent years due to globalization, and the multiculturalization of society, the diversification of ethnicity, culture, and language in various parts of the world has been in progress. However, such changes cause disparities, frictions, and conflicts in many societies, and raise 'intercultural cohesion' as an urgent and difficult task. In this couse, we will deepen our understanding of the issues facing the 21st century through reading related literature and viewing videos, conducting fieldwork in the field, having a discussion with stakeholders involved in accepting foreigners, and doing a group work among students. Furthermore, through such work, students will improve their basic communication skills such as reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

・多文化共生の可能性／困難性について議論し、他者の意見を聴きつつ、自分なりの考えを発展させることができる

・個人で調査研究した成果とそれに関する自分の考えを文章化することができる

授業への取組状況（ミニットペーパー：20％、小レポート2回：30％、最終レポート：50％で評価する
Students are assessed on the basis of their class participation or submitted Minute Papers (20%), two short essays (30%), and the final report (50%).
次回授業に関連する内容の文献（教科書を含む）を事前に読み、課題に取り組むこと。また、復習もしくは課題として、ミニットペーパーの提出、参考書等の読解や独自の調査研究に基づく小レポート・最終レポートの作成・提出が必要となります。
Students are required to read the related materials, including textbooks, and do some assignments for preparation. In addition, as a review or an assignment, students need to submit Minute Papers, short essays and final report, on the basis of reading reference books and conducting their own research.
毎回、PCを持参し、グループワーク等で必要に応じて情報収集（ネット検索）できるようにしてください。
Students are required to bring their own PC or devices for information gathering (internet search) in the group work session.
教科書は授業内で使用するので生協等で購入してください。その他の関連文献（参考書）は授業内で紹介します。
Students need to obtain textbooks at the Tohoku University Co-op or other bookstores. Other related materials will be distributed or introduced in class.
