【国際共修】近代日本の歴史と思想
Intellectual History of Modern Japan

授業の目的と概要/Object and Summary of Class

日本人学生と留学生との意見交換や共同作業を通じて、近代日本の歴史・文化的事象を多様な視点で理解することを目指します。また、その歴史・文化的背景の違いによって生じているさまざまな価値観、世界観を理解し、多様な文化間コミュニケーションのあり方を身につけることも目的です。

Japanese and international students will exchange opinions and cooperate on projects to gain an understanding of modern Japanese history and culture from a variety of perspectives. The class also aims to provide students with an understanding of the differences in historical and cultural backgrounds that create various values/worldviews and diverse intercultural communication skills.
・Eligibility
This class will be conducted in Japanese. B2 level in the CEFR/JF Standard for Japanese-Language Education (N1 in the JLPT).

日本の歴史や文化、言語を多様な視点から捉えられるようになる。また、異なる歴史的文化的背景を持つもの同士が、互いの違いを客観的に認知し、配慮しながら交流することが出来るようになる。

授業内容・方法と進度予定/Contents and Progress Schedule of the Class

基本的に対面講義で実施しますが、状況によってオンライン受講も可能です。

19世紀以降の日本の文化史、思想史を通史的に取り扱います。当初の数回にわたって文化研究に関する方法論を講義し、そののちに受講者の発表を行います。受講者は、指定された時期の近代日本に関わる歴史的事件を紹介し、これを受講者全体で議論します。また発表内容をふまえた講義も行います。


Basically, This class can be taken in-person, but online is also possible if necessary.

There will be an overview of Japanese cultural and intellectual history from the 19th century onward. After several initial lectures on cultural research methodology, students will give presentations. Students will introduce what historical events occurred in around modan Japan during the era to which they are assigned, and discuss them with the entire class. There will also be lectures on the contents of presentations.

授業時間外学修/Preparation and Review

個人での発表（20分程度）があるため、履修者が主体的に計画と目標を立て、自律的に準備学修に取り組むことが必要です。第一回オリエンテーションで詳述します。

Students will give presentations (20 minutes each). Students expected to voluntarily
develop a plan and goals and to undertake preparatory learning. Details will be explained in the first class session.
