ロジカル・ライティング ～説得力のあるレポートの組み立て方～
Logical Writing ：How to construct persuasive papers
この授業では、アカデミック・ライティングの基本を実践的に学修します。
『レポート指南書』にまとめられている入門レベルを学修済の皆さんに向けて、さらに「論理的」に物事を捉え、分析し、考察し、表現できるようになるための演習を行います。
この授業は、次のような学生の皆さんのための授業としてデザインします。
・様々な授業で課されるレポートの質をもっと上げたいが、自分ひとりでは限界があると感じている。
・説得力のある文章を書けるようになりたいが、どうしたらいいのか分からず悩んでいる。
・書く時だけでなく、学生間で議論している時にも、論理的に話せない。
・議論の際に話があちこちに逸れても、どうまとめればいいか分からない。
・何か問いが与えられた時に、そこからどう論理を組み立てて意見を述べていいのか分からない。
論理の基本から学び、受講生同士で議論し、個々人で深く思考しながら書き、またそれをピアレビューする過程の中で、共同で思考し自らの意見を論理的に構成する練習を繰り返します。
This class is to learn the basics of academic writing in a practical way.
This is designed for students who have already mastered the introductory level of academic writing as outlined in "The Academic Writing Handbook for Tohoku University Students”.
You will have the opportunity to further improve their ability to perceive, analyze, discuss, and express things in a "logical" manner.
This class is intended for the following students.
・ Students who want to improve the quality of their papers but feel limited in their ability to do so on their own.
・ Those who have a desire to be able to write persuasively, but do not know how.
・ Those who find it difficult to speak logically as well as write.
・ Those who are not good at getting back on track and summarizing when the discussion makes a digression.
・ Those who feel difficult to logically construct their opinions.
Students will learn the basics of logic, discuss them with other students, write them individually while thinking deeply about them, and experience the process of peer reviewing them.
In this way, students will repeat the practice of thinking collaboratively and structuring their own opinions logically.
（１） 論理的思考の基本を踏まえ、「論理的に書く」意義を理解する。
（２） アカデミック・ライティングに関する基本的な知識・スキルを習得する。
（３） 文章執筆の場面以外でも、論理的な思考や表現ができるようになる。
(1) Understand the significance of “writing logically” based on the basics of logical thinking.
(2) Acquire basic knowledge and skills of academic writing.
(3) Be able to think and express your opinions logically outside of writing situations.
この授業は、受講生同士の対話と議論を中心とした授業である。
毎回のグループワークへの積極的な参加を必須とする。

授業時間内は、皆さんが取り組む宿題をもとにしてグループワークやグループ・ディスカッションを行います。毎回の期日までに、指定した様式・方法により宿題（予習・復習）に取り組むこと。
During class hours, group work and group discussions will be held based on your homework. Work on your homework in the specified form and way by each deadline.
必要
定員を20名程度とする。
受講希望者が定員を大きく超えた場合には、初週（もしくは第2週）に受講に向けた意欲や受講したい動機等により選考し、受講者を決定する。
