知的財産A Intellectual Property A
本授業は、企業や大学の技術者・研究者、知財担当者・法務担当者が共通して身につけておくべき知財管理・知財戦略に関する基礎的な知識・技能の習得を目的とする。
本授業において履修生は、特許・実用新案・意匠・商標制度の概要、知財情報検索の基礎、企業や大学における知的財産の保護・活用の重要性について学ぶ。
The objective of this course is to acquire basic knowledge and skills related to IP management and IP strategy that engineers, researchers, IP professionals, and legal professionals in companies and universities should have in common.
In this class, students will learn the overview of the patent, utility model, design, and trademark systems, the basics of IP information search, and the importance of protection and utilization of intellectual property in companies and universities.
企業や大学での知財管理・知財戦略において要求される基礎的な知識・技能を習得する。
Acquire the basic knowledge and skills required for IP management and IP strategy in companies and universities.
本授業の学習支援システムには、Google Classroom を利用する。
授業は対面で実施する。ただし、初回はオンラインで実施する（受講方法は、Google Classroom で指示する。）。
授業の内容と進度予定は、以下のとおりである。
1. ガイダンス（授業の進め方の説明）（第1回）
2．特許・実用新案制度の概要（第1～6回）
3．意匠制度の概要（第6～7回）
4．商標制度の概要（第7～9回）
5．知財情報検索の基礎（第9～10回）
6．知財情報検索の演習（第11～13回）
7．企業・大学と知的財産（第14～15回。うち1回は、企業訪問に充てる予定である。）
※企業訪問の実施時期により、上記の進度予定がずれる可能性がある。
Google Classroom will be used as the learning management system (LMS) for this class.
This class will be conducted face-to-face. However, the first class will be held online; instructions will be given in Google Classroom.
The content and schedule of this class are as follows.
1. Guidance (explanation of how the class will proceed) (1st session)
2. Overview of the patent and utility model system (1-6th sessions)
3. Overview of the design system (6-7th sessions)
4. Overview of the trademark system (7-9th sessions)
5. Basics of IP information search (9-10th sessions)
6. Exercises of IP information search (11-13th sessions)
7. Intellectual property in companies and universities (14-15th sessions, one of which will be allocated for company visits)
The above schedule may change depending on the timing of the company visits.
成績は、課題・授業への参加状況50％、期末試験50％で評価する。
Grades will be based on 50% for assignments and contribution to the class, and 50% for the final exam.

事前に、講義動画を視聴したり、演習問題を解いたりした上で授業に臨むことが求められる（予習時間は10時間程度を想定している。）。
授業時間内または授業時間外に2～3回程度、課題が課される。（時間外課題に取り組む時間は4時間程度を想定している。）
45時間の学習時間のうち、授業時間と、上記の予習時間と、上記の時間外課題の時間とを除いた時間を復習に充てることが求められる。
Students are expected to watch lecture videos and solve exercises before coming to class (About 10 hours of preparation is expected).
Assignments will be given two to three times during or outside of class time. (About 4 hours of work on assignments outside of class time is expected.)
Review time for this class: This is the total study time for this class (45 hours) minus the class time, the preparation time mentioned above, and the time for the assignments to be done outside of class time mentioned above.

Not required. (In the sessions for learning to search intellectual property information, a classroom with PCs is scheduled to be used. However, depending on the number of students enrolled, it may not be possible to use such classrooms and students may need to bring in their own PCs.)
本授業は、知的財産管理技能検定3級（特許・実用新案、意匠、商標についての範囲）および特許検索競技大会スチューデントコースで求められる範囲をカバーする。
This class covers the scope required by the Intellectual Property Management Skills Test Level 3 (of which the scope covers patents, utility models, designs, and trademarks) and the Patent Search Grand Prix (Student Course).
