国際問題プレゼンテーション
Making Presentations on International Affairs
この講座の目的は、プレゼンテーションの技術を学びながら、国際問題についての知識を深めていくことにある。今日の国際社会には、さまざまな問題が山積みになっている。世界各地で国家間の安全保障をめぐる緊張がつづき、テロや過激派の活動も広がっている。だが、国際協力に向けた動きもある。貿易や投資、人権、環境といった領域において、各国は連携を深めている。この講座では、受講生によるプレゼンテーションを通じて、これらの問題に関する互いの理解を深めていく。
The aim of this course is to gain comprehensive knowledge of international affairs while learning presentation skills. In today's global society, a number of challenges persist. Security tensions between states are on the increase in various parts of the world, and disruptive activities of terrorists and extremists are spreading across the globe. Yet cooperative efforts are also emerging. In particular, international institutions have been established, in areas such as trade, investment, human rights, and the environment. On the basis of the presentations made by students, this course aims to promote mutual learning among them on these latest developments.

Students may make presentations on what they are interested in, since they are allowed to choose the topics of their presentations. Examples of relevant topics include the following:

- Class attendance, class participation, and presentations 60%

- 自分の順番が回ってきたらプレゼンテーションを準備すること
- 新聞を読んだりテレビのニュース番組を見たりして、常に世界の動きに目を向けておくこと
- 毎回の授業に出席し、議論に参加し、自分の順番が回ってきたらプレゼンテーションを行えば単位は出るが、良い成績を求める場合は試験に向けて周到に準備するべきである
- Students are expected to prepare a presentation when it is their turn.
- Students are advised to be attentive to international affairs by reading newspapers and watching news programs everyday.
- Students are likely to pass this course, as long as they make presentations when they should and participate in class discussion every week; however, if they want to obtain a good grade in this course, they should be well-prepared for the exams.
