【国際共修】日本文化とコミュニケーション（日本語） Japanese Culture and Communication: Intercultural Co-learning Seminar（Japanese)
日本人学生と留学生の共修クラスで、日本語の用法や日本語でのコミュニケーションの仕方について意見交換を行い、日本文化を複眼的に捉えると同時に、多文化間における円滑なコミュニケーションを実現する方法を探求する。
Students will gain a multifaceted understanding of Japanese culture through exchanging opinions on Japanese language usage and communication styles with international students while explore the ways to promote smooth multicultural communication.
・日本文化を考察することによって、自己の出身文化圏の文化（日本人の場合は日本文化）を新しい視点から見直すことができるようになる。
・異なる言語・文化圏を背景とする者同士が、それぞれのコミュニケーション・スタイルの違いを認識し、互いに配慮しつつ交流できるようになる。
-Gain new perspectives on your own cultural sphere (or on Japanese culture if you are a Japanese student) by observing Japanese culture.
-Learn to recognize various communication style among others of different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, and interact in a mutually considerate manner.
・授業内容と方法
テキストとして、教科書を中心に、日本語や日本文化について書かれたいくつかの論説文を読む。5～6人程度のグループに分かれ、グループごとに交替で発表する。１人の学生が学期中に発表する機会は2回になる見込みである。発表担当グループは、担当する論説文の要旨を紹介し、記述内容に関する実例およびコメント（感想、意見、疑問など）を提示する。それをもとに、グループで、あるいはクラス全体で、意見交換を行う。また、毎回授業についての簡単なリフレクション課題に回答して提出する。その内容をクラスで共有し、次の週に発展的学習を行う。

第１回：ガイダンス(1) 授業全体の内容、テキスト、スケジュールについての説明
第２回：ガイダンス(2) 発表の仕方についての説明、アイスブレーキング
第３回：グループ分け、コミュニケーションについての意見交換、グループ・ワーク（発表の準備）

第５回～第９回：第１ラウンドの発表および意見交換
メイン・テキストから１０トピックを選び、１回に２つずつ取り上げる。

Contents
-Read various selected articles on Japanese language and culture.
-Make presentations about the articles in groups of 5 or 6 people. One student is supposed to make presentation twice in the term.
-Presenters introduce an abstract of the article in charge, show some related examples in daily life, and comment to the article.
-Exchange opinions about the presentation in groups or in class.
-After every session write a short reflective report about the class.
-Description of the reports are shared in class for advanced learning at the next week session.

発表と意見交換で取り上げるテキストを事前に読んで、内容をきちんと把握しておく。毎回リフレクション課題に回答する。グループのメンバーとともに第１ラウンド、第２ラウンドの２回の発表の準備を行う。学期終了時に期末レポートを書く。
-Students must read and understand the contents of the textbook/articles well before class.
-Students must write a short reflective report after each session.
-Preparation for group presentation with group members is necessary in each round.
-Final paper assignment is given in the final session of the course.

外国人留学生対象日本語教育プログラムの国際共修科目「JC520」と合同で授業を行う。オンラインでも対面でも履修できる授業とする予定である。使用言語は日本語。非母語話者の場合、N2程度以上の日本語能力を必要とする。学生同士の交流に重点を置く授業であるため、定員を日本人学生・留学生合わせて50名とする。詳細な指示はGoogle Classroomを通じて行う。
A joint class is formed for students of this course and “JC520”, an intercultural co-learning seminar course for international students. This class can be taken either in-person or online. The language used in class is Japanese. Japanese proficiency of international students should be around N2 or higher. Class size is limited to 50 students, because this course requires a focus on the interactive communication among students. Detailed instructions will be provided through Google Classroom.
