CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning): Science and Society

Examples of topics that will be studied and discussed in class include the following:
Introducing basic concepts within the sciences
Science and technology in modern times
Artificial Intelligence in Society
Science and the environment
Ethics in science
Impact of scientific innovation
Topics will be general enough for non-science students to understand. The course is based on the framework of CLIL, and students will be encouraged to think critically, offer opinions, and get involved in discussions within an active learning classroom. Students will learn about scientific content in English and simultaneously improve both their English language skills and content knowledge.
