Progressive Application of Animal Resources

動物資源の開発と活用技術について学習する。
Students will learn about development and utilization technologies of animal resources.
１）主に哺乳動物を対象とした生殖生物学の概要を理解し、家畜の繁殖や遺伝子改変動物の作出に関わる動物生産技術についての理解を深める。
２）世界の主要品種およびわが国で飼育されている品種の生い立ちと特徴を理解し、その特徴を生かした利用方法および育種改良についての理解を深める。
1) Students will understand the concept of reproductive biology mainly for mammals, and can deepen their understanding of the animal reproduction technologies for livestock breeding and gene modification.
2) Students will understand the origin and characteristics of livestock breeds in Japan and the world, and can deepen their understanding of the animal breeding technologies accounting for the characteristics.

動物の繁殖技術および育種技術を通して、動物資源の開発と活用方法について理解し論述できるようになること。
The purpose of this course is to help students better understand and discuss about methods for developing and utilizing animal resources by using the technologies of animal reproduction and breeding.

出席を含む平常点、レポートおよび試験によって総合的に評価する。
Evaluation is performed comprehensively based on attendance, essay, and examination.
資料として主に講義項目ごとにプリントを配布する。
References are mainly handed out at each class.
