授業の目的と概要/Object and Summary of Class

昆虫は2億年以上の進化の過程で、激しい外部環境、外敵、競争者等に打ち勝つため、昆虫特有の内部制御機構、変態、休眠、行動、情報伝達等の機能を発達させてきた。本講義ではまず、昆虫の生理・行動に大きな影響を与える光について、どのような影響を与えているのか解説した後、昆虫の対捕食者戦略、昆虫の内部形態として消化・排泄系、呼吸系、循環系、神経系について解説する。次に昆虫の寄主選択機構および配偶行動と、これに大きく関与しているアレロケミックスやフェロモンなどの情報伝達物質の機能と特性について解説する。また、昆虫の脱皮・変態、休眠も解説し、昆虫の生理生態についての基礎を理解する。
This course provides students with basic knowledge on insect physiology and ecology such as influence of light on insects, defensive strategies against predators, internal morphology (i.e. digestive/excretory system, respiratory system, circulatory system and nervous system), host selection mechanisms, mating behaviors, ecdysis/metamorphosis, and diapause.

The purpose of this course is to understand the basic knowledge of internal regulation mechanisms, chemical signals, behaviors, metamorphoses, and diapauses of insects.
