授業の目的・概要及び達成方法等

臨床ニーズ探索＝課題発見、その問題点を解決する医療機器アイディアの創出＝課題解決という医療機器開発プロセスを実体験することで、医療機器について総合的に理解する。
This course helps students to experience medical device development process based on design thinking.

大学病院派遣前に抗体検査・ワクチン接種を要する

授業計画

4名程度のグループを構成し、大学病院の4～6診療科における臨床ニーズ探索を行い、その定量的評価により解決すべき臨床課題を設定する。課題を解決するための医療機器アイディアを創出しプレゼンテーションを行う。その後、医工学研究科のリソースを用いて、医療機器のプロトタイプ作製を行い、実機を用いたプレゼンテーションを行う。

授業計画（E）/Contents and progress schedule of class

A group consisted of 4 students are sent to 4-6 departments in Tohoku University Hospital to find clinical umnet needs. The needs are quantitatively evaluated to determine one subject to be solved. Then the idea of medical device solving the problem is discussed and presented. Prototype of the medical device is produced by the resources of Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering and presented.
