目的：土木工学の分野における課題解決のための基礎的研究能力・技術開発能力を修得することを目的とする。
概要：各自の修士論文に関連した内容の，最新の国内外の文献のレビューを行い，それを踏まえての各自の修士研修の研究計画を発案する．その計画についての意見交換を元に，修士研究を実行し，修士論文を執筆する．
達成目標：土木工学が対象とする場（現場、環境、地域社会、国際社会）において問題を発見し、的確に把握し、機構を解析し、適切な解決方法を見いだすことができる能力を修得することを目標とする。

Purposse: The objective of this course is to gain the ability of fundamental research and technical developments for problem solving in civil engineering.
Summary: Students are required to review the current advance in the field of interest especially in domestic or international journal articles, which are related to their master's thesis topics. Based on the reviews, students will provide their research plans and receive
constructive opinions from others, from which they improve the original plan.
Achievement: Students are expected to have the ability to search the problems in the construction site and environmental system, domestic and international societies, analyze the mechanism and find appropriate solving method.

The time period of this course (two years) can be shortened depending on results.

授業計画

学生個々人によって計画は異なる。自らが十分に検討して計画し、教官の指導を受けて，適切な内容を策定すること．研究計画が認められた者は研究を遂行し，修士論文予備発表会で内容の発表と質疑への対応をする．そこでの討論の内容をふまえてさらに研研究を遂行し、修士論文発表会で内容の発表と質疑への対応をする．修士論文予備発表会および修士論文発表会のプログラムは事前に教務係より通知する。

Study plan is different for everyone. Progressive and final presentations will be carried out to evaluate the dissertation. The course coordinator will inform the detailed information before these

成績評価方法及び基準

修士論文予備発表会における発表および質疑への対応，その際の質疑への回答を含めた修士論文発表会における発表および質疑への対応、ならびに執筆された修士論文の質で評価する．

成績評価方法及び基準(Ｅ）

Quality of the master's thesis is evaluated in the contents of the thesis itself and oral presentation, in which students are expected to answer the questions provided in the progressive presentation.
