博士論文研究に関する研究成果を国際学会などで発表かつ討論するに十分な語学力、ディベート力、コミュニケーション能力の育成を目的とする。本研修には国際学会などでの実際の研究発表・質疑応答が含まれ、さらに事前にプレゼンテーション資料の作成や発表に関わる練習を行う場として、グループディスカッションを行う。

The aim of this course is to develop language, debate, and communication skills that are sufficient to present and discuss research results related to doctoral dissertation research at international conferences. This training includes actual research presentations and question-and-answer sessions. In addition, group discussions will be held with the aim to prepare the presentation materials necessary for attending international conferences.

これがクラスのプランです。
レッスン1と2：口頭発表を準備するための紹介とガイドライン。
レッスン3〜15：英語での口頭発表(週に1つか2つの口頭発表)。
口頭発表時間：10〜20分。
スライドのグループディスカッション：70〜80分。

授業計画(Ｅ）

The following is the class plan:
Lessons 1 and 2: introduction and guidelines for preparing the oral presentations.
Lessons 3-15: oral presentations in English (1 or 2 presentations per week).
Oral presentation time: 10-20 minutes.
Group discussion on the slides: 70-80 minutes.

The oral presentations will be held online by sharing the PowerPoint (or PDF) slides among participants.

成績評価方法及び基準

このコースの単位を取得するには、クラスで英語で口頭発表を行い、その後、英語でさらに60ポイント以上の口頭またはポスター発表を行います。
a. 海外で開催された国際会議における英語口頭発表　５０ポイント
b. 化学・バイオ系で認定された博士課程後期学生を対象とする学内研究討論会（D2討論会）（英語）　４０ポイント
c. 日本国内で開催された学会での英語口頭発表　３０ポイント
d. 国際会議(海外・国内)における英語ポスター発表　２０ポイント  

成績評価方法及び基準(Ｅ）

To receive the credits from this course, students will give an oral presentation in English in the class and, after it, they will give additional oral or poster presentations in English to gain a minimum of 60 points:
a. Oral presentation in English at an international conference, 50 points
b. On-campus Research Discussion Meeting (D2 Discussion Meeting) for doctoral students who are accredited in chemistry and biotechnology (English), 40 points
c. Oral presentation in English at a national conference, 30 points
d. Poster presentations in English at international conferences, 20 points.
