This course provides extensive advanced lectures on space flight systems, particularly the issues not covered by Advanced Space Systems I:
・The scope of the course is the design, development, launch and operation of space flight systems for Earth-orbiting missions and/or interplanetary missions.
・Depending on the availability of the lecturers, a specific focus will be made on the topics from propulsion systems, space structures, orbital mechanics, attitude dynamics and control, and space robotics.
・Invited international lectures may be arranged.
・All lectures are given in English.

Content:
The scope of the course includes plasma actuator, beaming propulsion, electric propulsion, space structure, vibration control, design, development, launch and operation of space flight systems. Depending on the availability of the lecturers, a specific focus will be made on the topics in propulsion systems, space structures, orbital mechanics, attitude dynamics and control.

* Attitude of discussion (Q&A time during student presentations)

Class Style (On-Demand Style and Real-Time Online Style)
We have a hybrid type class consisting of (1. On-demand lecture) and (2. Real-time online presentation).

授業時間外学習

到達目標や授業内容に応じた準備学習が求められる.履修者が自ら主体的に計画と目標を立て,自律的に準備学習に取り組むことを期待する.授業時間は限られているので,自主学習が重要になる.手を動かして式を導きながら教科書を何回も熟読すること.

授業時間外学習(E)

Students are required to prepare for class according to the goal and contents of each class. Students are strongly expected to voluntarily develop a plan and goals and to undertake preparatory learning. The session time is limited and therefore self-directed learning is important. Students are required to prepare and review for two hours in each class. Students should read repeatedly and derive equations in the textbook by themselves.
