１．目的
工学領域で必要とする英語力を養成する一環として、実践的に活用できる英語のコミニケーション力、英語の表現力を身につけることを目的とした.
２．概要
小人数のクラスを編成し、プレゼンテーションの基礎を講義しながら、受講生が、Nature, Science等の記事と各自の研究分野の論文、各自の研究テーマに関して10分程度のプレゼンテーションを１回か２回仕上げて、発表・質疑応答を行う。その発表について教員がアドバオスを与える。なお、講義はほとんど英語で行う。
３．達成目標等
ストレス無く英語の論文を読み書きし，また，英語で発表・質疑応答が初心者からできるようになる．

1. Objective
The objective of this class is to learn English communication skills and English expressions, which are required in the engineering fields.
2. Abstract
We organize small classes, and lecture the introduction of the English presentation. Then, each students put presentations on scientific papers related to their research field, and on their research topics. The presentation is about 10 minutes, with few-minutes discussion. The teachers advise on the presentation. Almost all lectures are in English.
3. Goal of this class
The goal of this class is to understand the special phases for scientific English, and to be able to do presentation in English, and as well as questions and answers.
英語の総合力が問われるので，日頃からの努力が必要となる．１年生からの英語に関する授業の受講はもちろんのこと，ラジオ・テレビ英会話，英字新聞の購読等を勧める．
Since this class requires various kinds of English skills, students need always make efforts for leaning English. In addition to English classes from first semester, we also recommend additional efforts for studying English communications by listening in English radio and TV programs, and by reading English newspapers.

２－４．プレゼンテーションの基礎を講義する。
５－１５．各自の発表日時を決定する．そして，各自の研究分野の論文、各自の研究テーマに関して10分程度の発表を準備し、各1回発表する。その後全員で質疑応答を行う。また、教員ががコメントやアドバイスを与える．

5-15 Assign the date of presentations of individual students.
Each students put presentation on the paper and on their research topics, and then have a time for questions and answers. Teacher will advice on the presentation.
