Course Title

Practical course in plant developmental genetics

授業の目的と概要

植物の成長・分化の制御過程を、遺伝子発現やタンパク質機能、細胞分化、器官機能の各レベルで解析する方法を習得する。

Purpose/Abstract

In this course, plant growth and development are analysed at a cell, an organ and a individual levels using genetic and molecular techniques. Purpose of this course is to understand how to plan, conduct experiments and interpret the data.

学習の到達目標

実験の立案、実施、データの論理的解釈の基本的な概念を会得する。遺伝子情報と機能の関連を理解する。

Goal

Understanding basic idea of plant development.

授業内容・方法と進度予定

以下の実験を行う。
1.植物からDNAを単離し、PCRにより遺伝子型を判定する
2.遺伝子配列の解析を行う
3.GFPなどの分子マーカーを用いた遺伝子発現パターンおよびタンパク質局在を観察する
実験結果をもとにレポートを作成する。

1. Isolation of DNA from plants, and amplification of DNA by PCR.
2. Analysis of DNA sequence.
3. Analysis of gene expression and protein localization using molecular markers.

成績評価方法

実習への参加状況および実験結果のまとめと考察に関するレポートの採点。
