Course Title

Practice in Reading Biological English

授業の目的と概要

理学部生物学科の教育を担当する大学院生命科学研究科の研究分野の教員が、それぞれの分野の研究に
関する基礎的な英語論文の講読を指導する。講読を通して、科学英語と当該分野の生物学の研究対象・目
的・方法・内容などについて学ぶ。開講分野・日時については４月はじめまでに連絡する。

Purpose/Abstract

Faculty members instruct students in the reading of basic English papers related to research in their respective fields. The course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn basic English language reading of articles related to research in their respective fields. Through the reading, students will learn about scientific English and the research subjects, purposes, methods, and contents of biology in the relevant fields. The course schedule will be announced by the beginning of April.

学習の到達目標

専門英文論文を講読することで、英語読解力の向上、論文構造の理解、専門分野での知識を習得する。

Goal

By lecturing on English papers, students will improve their English reading comprehension, understand the structure of the papers, and acquire knowledge in their specialized fields.

セメスター前に、具体的内容を記載した書類を掲示・配付すると同時に、各教員から説明を受ける。
