地質現地研修（巡検）
Geological field excursion
プレート収束域での地学現象と日本列島を特徴づける地質と岩石を理解するため、鍵となる地質サイトを訪れ野外観察する。現地の岩石に直接手に取り観察しながら討論を行い、岩石標本採集を行う（岩石の種類の応じて露頭から得られる情報の記載・記述方法についても学ぶ）。地質と岩石の理解を通して、東北アジア東縁の地質の大構造と変動の歴史、活動的プレート収束縁で現在進行中の地学現象、火山活動や断層活動について総合的に学習する。
This subject/course is a scientific field excursion to visit important geological sites. This field-trip is planned to examine at outcrops of igneous rocks, metamorphic rocks, and volcano-sedimentary rocks, among others.
固体地球のダイナミックなふるまいを体感するために、造山帯の構成岩類や活火山を野外で観察する。また、露頭での観察能力と野外での地質情報を記載する力を養う。露頭から採取した標本は持ち帰って薄片処理し、偏光顕微鏡などを用いた岩石記載を行って成因を考察する。それらの結果をレポートにまとめる力も養う。
A week-long geological field excursion is planned to examine outcrops of igneous rocks, metamorphic rocks, and volcano-sedimentary rocks, among others. The goal of this excursion is to learn how to review information from the literature, write a brief field guide, perform scientific presentations, and observe and describe geological phenomena and objects in the field.
現地研修（巡検）の見学地点およびその周辺地質の説明書をグループごとに分担して冊子にまとめる。研修地点の露頭で岩石を観察しながらその岩石の特徴と生成過程を討論し、露頭から得られる情報（位置情報や岩石の構造など）を記載した上で標本を採集する。もち帰った標本の岩石薄片をつくって岩石記載を行う。それらの結果をレポートにまとめ提出する。フィールドセミナーの期間は１週間程度、１か月後のレポート提出を予定する。

フィールドセミナーの説明書の分担執筆内容、セミナー当日の事前のグループによる説明、レポートを総合して評価する。
Attendance is required. A pre-field trip group presentation and a post-field trip report will also be evaluated.

Reviewing research papers, preparing group presentations, and creating a brief field guide before the week-long field trip. Additionally, preparing scientific reports after the field trip is also required.
