Environmental Geography
分析的都市地理学
Analytical urban geography
都市地理学の主要な論点を確認し、都市環境および都市空間での人の行動に関する分析的研究を実施する上で必要な方法論を講義、一部実習を通して習得を目指す。
Lecture on methodology necessary for conducting analytical research on human geography, particularly about human behaviours and socio-economically constructed spatial structure of cities.
・都市地理学の背景や基本的な概念を理解する
・基礎的な地図や社会調査資料の活用を理解する
・R環境におけるGISデータや空間分析等の技法を通して、都市地理学の研究を遂行する過程を理解する
· Understand the background and basic concepts of urban geography
· Understand the ways to use basic maps and social research materials
· Understand the process of conducting urban geography studies through GIS methods and spatial analysis in R environment
以下の都市地理学の講義を行う。あわせて関連する文献の読解やR環境を利用した分析作業を行い、研究の実践に関する討論を適宜行う。

⑶ 都市社会地理学における空間分析
⑷ 都市モデルと空間的相互作用モデル
The contents of this course is organised as follows:
⑴ Background of urban geography and related fields
⑵ Methodology of urban geography and spatial data analysis
⑶ Spatial analysis in urban social geography
⑷ Urban models and spatial interaction models
Reading related literature and PC practice of student's own laptop PC using R environment will be carried out with discussions on analytical research of human geography.
