地球物理計測解析学
Geophysical Data Analysis
地球物理学の分野で用いられるデータ解析の技術に関する基礎的理解の形成を目的とする。汎用性が高いと思われるいくつかの手法について、理論的基礎から具体的な対象への適用までを学ぶ。
The aim is to develop a basic understanding of data analysis techniques used in the field of geophysics.
自然現象を理解する上で必要となるデータ解析の基礎を、講義と実習を通して習得すること。学んだ理論や技術を、その後の研究や卒業論文等で各自が応用できるようになることを目標とする。
Learn the basics of data analyses necessary to understand natural phenomena through lectures and practical exercises.
以下の内容を取り扱う。
・序論（１週）
・最小二乗法、および、逆問題へのその応用（３週）
・スペクトル解析（３週）
・ウェーブレット解析（１週）
・主成分解析（２週）
・数値フィルタの理論的基礎と設計（５週）
各単元とも、講義と演習や計算機を使った実習とを組み合わせつつ、授業を進める。
Contents are
・Introduction (2 weeks)
・Least squares method and its application to inverse problems (3 weeks)
・Spectral analysis (3 weeks)
・Wavelet analysis (1 week)
・Principal component analysis (2 weeks)
・Theoretical foundation and design of numerical filters (4 weeks)
Each unit includes lectures and exercises using computers.
不定期に課す宿題と、授業中に課す演習（小テスト）の出来に基づいて評価する。
Students will be evaluated based on their performance in homework assigned irregularly and exercises (quizzes) assigned during class.
指定教科書はない。必要に応じて、参考書を紹介する。
There are no designated textbooks. Reference books will be introduced when needed.
授業中に諸々の演習課題を提示する（その一部を宿題とする）ので、学習の助けにして欲しい。コンピュータ言語（主にPython）による実習も取り入れるので、各自の手持ちのPC等で実践に取り組んで欲しい。
Practice tasks will be provided during class (some of which will be assigned as homework), and some of them will require practical training using computer languages (mainly Python).
授業は日本語で行う。英語のサポートは無い。
The class will be given wholly in Japanese. No English support will be provided.
