海流や海洋波動の力学、および、大規模海洋循環の基礎。
Dynamics of currents and waves in the ocean, and the basics of large-scale ocean circulation.
海流や海洋波動の仕組み、および、大規模海洋循環の基礎を理解すること。
To understand the mechanisms of currents and waves in the ocean, and the basics of large-scale ocean circulation.
講義の内容は、概ね次の通り。
1)序論
2)回転成層流体の支配方程式
3)海流の力学
4)エクマン層
5)大規模海洋循環の仕組み
6)海洋中の波動
The contents of the lecture are as follows.
1) Introduction
2) Governing equations of rotating stratified fluid
3) Dynamics of ocean currents
4) Ekman layer
5) Mechanism of large-scale ocean circulation
6) Waves in the ocean
宿題への取り組み(80%)と出席(20%)。

講義内容の復習、および、宿題として課す演習問題を解くことによる学習。
Learning by reviewing lecture content and solving practices and exercises issued as homework.
講義は日本語で行う。英語によるサポートの予定は無い。
受講生には、予め、「流体力学・同演習」、「気象学」、「海洋物理学」を受講しておくことを勧める。
The lecture will be given wholly in Japanese. No English support will be provided.
Students attending this lecture are advised to take "Fluid Dynamics (lecture and exercises)", "Meteorology", and "Physical Oceanography" beforehand.
