This course will examine problems in terms of agricultural and food production and a variety of policy design from economic perspectives. After a lecture on agriculture and food production in Japan and the discussion on related policy issues, we will share current situations and problems of agriculture, food production and consumption in the countries of participants.
Students will come to understand current situations and issues in agriculture and food sector in different countries through comparative perspective.
