Course Title (授業題目)

Research on Western Art (Developmental Course)

授業の目的と概要

古代から現代までの西洋美術史を対象にして、英語の研究論文を読解しながら、作品や作家についての「問い」を立てて調査および分析を行い、先行研究を踏まえた発表を行います。

Course Objectives and Course Synopsis(授業の目的と概要)

While reading English research papers on the history of Western art from ancient times to the present, we will raise 'questions' about works and writers, conduct research and analysis, and make presentations based on previous research.

学習の到達目標

西洋美術に関する基本的な方法と用語を習得し、作品の分析と「問い」の設定（立論）、研究発表の方法を
理解すること。

To master the basic methods and terms related to Western art, and to understand how to analyze works, set 'questions' (arguments), and present research.

The achievement of the presentation and the level of participation in class discussions will be evaluated as a whole.

読解する英語の研究論文は授業の中で決定し、配布（またはダウンロード先を指示）します。

授業時間外学習

発表者は先行研究の調査、読解、翻訳（全訳）、発表のための資料作成を行います。受講生はあらかじめ授業で取り上げられる主な作家や作品について各自で調査し、基本的な理解を深めておきます。
