Course Title (授業題目)

Study of "The Tale of Genji"

授業の目的と概要

『源氏物語』「桐壺」「帚木」巻を輪読する。担当者は割り当てられた範囲の【梗概】および【考察】をレジュメとしてまとめ、それを資料として用意し、事前に配布した上で発表する。発表者が提起した問題点について、参加者全員で検討を加え、ブラッシュアップしていくことで、物語の読解力を高めていくことを目的とする。　　

Course Objectives and Course Synopsis(授業の目的と概要)

In this class, you will read the volume captioned 'Kiritubo' 'Hahakigi' in Genji Monogatari. The person in charge summarizes the [abstract] and [consideration] of the assigned range as a resume, prepares it as a material, distributes it in advance, and announces it. The aim is to improve the reading comprehension of the story by reviewing and brushing up the issues raised by the presenters with all participants.

学習の到達目標

『源氏物語』「桐壺」「帚木」巻を精読することで、（1）物語の虚構の方法や人物造型のありよう、語り、和歌を含めた表現の様式、物語の構造等について理解を深める。（2）諸注釈、各種辞典(事典)類の活用の仕方を学び、作品読解に関わる基本的な知識を習得する。以上を通して、物語を「読む」力を高めることで、課題に研究的に取り組むための基本的な知識と技能を身につける。　　

Learning Goals(学習の到達目標)

By carefully reading "Genji Monogatari"（Kiritubo Chapter, Hahakigi Chapter）, students will deepen your understanding of the fictional method of the story, the way the figure is modeled, the style of expression including narrative and waka poems, and the structure of the story. Learn how to use various annotations and various dictionaries, and acquire basic knowledge related to reading comprehension of works. Through the above, by improving the ability to "read" the story, students will acquire the basic knowledge and skills to tackle the problem researchfully.

成績評価方法

授業時の発表および期末レポート（発表のまとめ）の内容〔60％〕、授業への参加（質疑応答を含む）〔40％〕

教科書および参考書

【テキスト】岩波文庫『源氏物語（一）桐壺～末摘花』（岩波書店、2017年）を用いるので、大学生協等で購入のこと。
【参考書】中野幸一編『〈新装版〉常用 源氏物語要覧』（武蔵野書院、2012年）がある。その他、参考文献は随時紹介する。

授業時間外学習

毎回の輪読箇所が決まっている上、資料が事前に配布されているので、参加者はあらかじめ該当範囲を読み込んでおき、発表内容について自分なりに疑問点や質問事項を準備しておいた上で、授業に臨むこと。授業での質疑応答はディスカッションやコメントのトレーニングとなるよう期している。

その他

・本演習は、第6セメスターも続けて履修すること。
・物語の展開を先取りせず、物語の筋をたどりながら読むことの面白さや発見、興味を大事にしていく。
