Modern Mandarin Chinese Linguistics
中国語で書かれた現代中国語文法を扱った論文を精読し、中国語を読む能力と現代中国語に関する文法問題を考える能力の養成を目的とする。また、論文に関連する文法現象のなかで、受講生が各自テーマを絞って、最後にレポートとしてまとめる。全体を通して、現代中国語文法に関する知識を深め、基本的な研究手法を習得する。
This course aims to improve students’ ability in reading Chinese and approaching linguistic research questions about modern Mandarin Chinese. Also, students are required to find a certain topic related to the articles we read in class and write a report accordingly in the end of the semester. In the end of this course, students will gain knowledge about modern Chinese linguistics and learn how to apply some of the basic research techniques when writing a report.

①Students will understand the essential concepts in modern Mandarin Chinese linguistics and know how to explain them appropriately.
②Students will develop the ability to notice possible research questions about modern Mandarin Chinese.
③Students will acquire the ability to write an academic report on a particular topic which he/she concerns.
