Intensive Reading of Western Art History

授業の目的と概要

西洋美術史の研究を行う上で基礎となる欧文文献の精読を行い、美術作品研究の基礎を身に着ける。そのうえで、古典語、フランス語、ドイツ語、イタリア語などにも目配りできるようになることが望ましい。

Course Objectives and Course Synopsis(授業の目的と概要)

This course aims to improve the students' ability to read English texts in detail and their necessary knowledge for research of art works and to introduce the students to read the texts in other languages.

学習の到達目標

西洋美術史に関する英語文献を正確に読めるようになるとともに、英語以外の言語についても調べられるようになる。

Learning Goals(学習の到達目標)

The aim of this course is that students read accurately English texts of western art history and read the reference books in other languages.

教科書および参考書

イタリア・ルネサンスにかんする美術作品についての文献を精読する。
Textbook: A variety of reading texts about Italian Renaissance art will be used.

授業時間外学習

授業前に自分の分担部分を和訳し、それ以外の部分にも目を通しておくこと。
Students are required to read the designated textbook and translate its own assigned part for each class.
