授業の目的と概要

　釈尊（紀元前５世紀頃）に始まるインド仏教史の大まかな流れを理解するとともに，初期仏教の思想とその展開の一端を中期中観派の段階まで把握することを目指す。

The purpose of this course is to help students understand the outline of the Indian Buddhist history from the life and thougt of Śākyamuni to the middle Mādhyamika.

釈尊から中期中観派までのインド仏教に関する基礎知識を習得する。

This course is designed to provide students with basic knowledge on early Buddhism focusing mainly on the thought of Śākyamuni to the middle Mādhyamika.
