Critical Examination of Asian and African Studies B

授業の目的と概要/Object and Summary of Class

　アジア・アフリカ、とくに中国とイスラーム圏の政治、社会、文化の特徴とその変容過程について、主要な論文、著書の精読を通じて批判的に理解することを目的とする。
Students are expected to understand characteristics and transformations of Asian and African Area by investigating the related articles and monographs in critical ways.

　なお、授業の方法は、原則オンラインで実施する、対面形式も併用する場合は、事前に通知する。

学修の到達目標/Goal of Study

　対象地域の現在の政治、社会、文化を理解する上で基本的かつ重要なファクターを概観し、かつこれらを現実の社会的文脈の中に批判的に検証する学問的な効果やスキルの修得を目指す。
Students are expected to survey the fundamental and significant factors in understanding the present politics, society and culture of the area under their study and should improve their critical abilities and academic skills in the actual social cotext.

成績評価方法/Evaluation Method

授業での報告と討論への参加を総合的に評価して行う。。/ We will evaluate the presentaions and discussions at classes comprehensively.

教科書および参考書/Textbook and references

適宜、プリントを配布。講義の中で適宜指示する。
We will distribute related reference materials and designate important references whenever necessary in the lectures.
