通文化比較と歴史からみた東北アジア

東北アジア地域を中心に、さまざまな社会の多様性がどのように形成されてきたのかを、「歴史」と「比較」の視点から分析するための知識と技術の習得をめざす。授業の前半では、人類史におけるさまざまなトピックや学史を紹介することで、大まかな歴史を理解するとともに、偏見や失敗の歴史、学問的な限界について議論する。同時に、現在われわれが観察できる文化多様性が、歴史の産物であるということを確認する。後半は、さまざまなデータベースや、定量的な比較の手法と研究例を紹介し、利点と限界について議論する。実習を通じて、さまざまな時空間スケールから東北アジアを理解するためのひとつの視点を習得することを目標とする。

授業の目的・概要及び達成方法等（E）/Object in Class subject and Object and summary of class and Goal of study

This course aims to provide the knowledge and skills to analyze cultural and social diversity from "historical" and "comparative" perspectives, with a particular focus on the Northeast Asian region. The first half covers various topics in human history as a foundational step towards understanding the importance of historical dynamics, the history of anthropology in the broad sense, and its consequences, including prejudices, failures, and limitations in attempts to understand humans. The second half introduces various databases, quantitative comparison methods, and research examples, along with a discussion about their advantages and limitations. Through practical exercises, the goal is to acquire a perspective for understanding Northeast Asia across various spatio-temporal scales.
