授業の目的と概要/Object and summary of class

This workshop is an opportunity of learning and discussion that Ph.D or MA candidates acquire academic knowledge in the economics of aging, public finance, public economics, welfare economy, health economics, labor economics, and other important issues in aging society, such as, employment, income distribution, social security system, and public policies.

学習の到達目標/Goal of study

The goal of this workshop is that the student acquires high-quality research methodology and academic knowledge in their own field as a Ph.D or MA candidate and improves skills in presentation and discussion.

授業内容・方法と進度予定/Contents and progress schedule of the class

We regularly hold a face-to-face seminar. The main presenters are the graduate students of Tohoku University and/or academic researchers from outside whose primary field is public economics, public finance, economics of aging, welfare economy, health economics, labor economics, and other important issues in the aging society.
Presenters are required to upload a presentation file to our Google Classroom (the code is "gv7oyhq") by the day before the workshop. Other participants must submit comments and questions for each presentation.

成績評価方法/Evaluation method

Students must have one or more presentations and submit comments on each presentation to obtain credit. In addition, the grade is based on preparation, attendance, discussion, comments, etc.

    授業時間外学習/Preparation and Review

    Students are required to carefully prepare for their own presentation and to improve their own research as soon as they receive comments at the workshop.

    その他/In addition

    The graduate students who are affiliated with the seminars of aging economy, public finance, welfare economy, health economics, and labor economics must attend this workshop.
