Health Economics (Seminar IIa)

本演習は，修士学位を取得するにふさわしい経済学的な知識，とくに大学院レベルの医療経済学や公共経済学，応用計量経済学の知識を獲得するための学習機会の場である。
This seminar is a learning opportunity for graduate students to acquire economic knowledge suitable for a master's degree, especially in health economics, public economics, and applied econometrics at the graduate level.
特に医療経済学・公共経済学・応用計量経済学について，修士学位を取得するにふさわしい経済学的な知識を獲得すること。
The aim of this lecture is that the student acquires economic knowledge suitable for a master's degree, especially in health economics, public economics, and applied econometrics.
各自のレベルや関心に応じて，大学院レベルのテキストや学術論文などを報告する。また，実施中の研究について報告を行ってもよい。
ゼミは対面で行い，講義情報の伝達や報告資料のアップロードなどはGoogle Classroom（クラスコードは「ybbekkg」）を通して行う。
Depending on the student's level and interests, the student presents on some parts of graduate-level texts or high-quality academic papers. The student can also present own ongoing research.
We have in-person seminars, and lecture information, presentation files, and other materials are available on our Google Classroom (class code: "ybbekkg").
出席状況と発表内容，理解度を包括的に評価する。
Comprehensive evaluation will be made based on attendance, presentations, and level of understanding.
自身が進めようとしている経済学的な実証研究を，国内外の査読付学術雑誌に掲載できるようなレベルにまで引き上げるためにはどうすればよいかを日々考えることが望まれる。
The student are always required to consider how own empirical study is published on the refereed journal.
(1)本演習の履修を希望する学生は，講義時間を含めて1日8時間以上の勉強時間を確保すること。
(2)本演習の履修を希望する者は，中級ミクロ経済学特論（Microeconomics I & IIでも可），中級マクロ経済学特論（Macroeconomics I & IIでも可）および中級計量経済学特論I（Intermediate Econometrics I）の計10単位を全てB以上で取得済みであることが望ましい。
(3)本演習の履修者は，医療福祉政策特別演習および現代経済特別演習も必ず履修して，それらの特別演習ならびに現代経済研究会(https://sites.google.com/view/tohokumoderneconomics)にも参加し，積極的に質問・発言すること。
(4)履修登録せずに参加することは妨げないが，原則として履修登録者のみに報告・発言機会を与える。
(1) The participants need to spend more than 8 hours per day for their studies, including the lectures.
(2) It is preferable that the students who want to participate in my seminar complete 10 credits of Microeconomics I & II, Macroeconomics I & II, and Intermediate Econometrics I in the fist year, all with a "B" or better.
(3) The students in my seminar are required to attend the Tohoku University Modern Economics Seminar: https://sites.google.com/view/tohokumoderneconomics. The students also must take the Workshop orgnized by me. In addition, the 4th-semester of MA students must attend another Workshop organized by Prof. Wakabayashi and present their own ongoing master thesis.
(4) I can accept the graduate students who do not register for my seminar, but please note that only those who have registered will be given the opportunity to present in principal.
