メカニズム・デザインに関する専門的な論文を読む能力を身につける。
[In this course, students develop skills reading articles on mechanism design.]
メカニズム・デザインに関する論文を受講者が交代で報告をして、その後論文の発展性などについて討論を行う。とりあえず、開講時までに以下のサーベイ論文を入手して、論文を報告できるように準備しておくこと。
[1] Barbera, S. (2001) “An Introduction to Strategy-Proof Social Choice Functions,” Social Choice and Welfare, Volume 18, Issue 4, Pages 619-653.
[2] Jackson, M.O. (2001) “A Crash Course in Implementation Theory,” Social Choice and Welfare, Volume 18, Issue 4, Pages 655-708.
その後は、英文ジャーナル（Econometrica, Journal of Economic Theory, Games and Economic Behavior, Economic Theory, Social Choice and Welfare, Mathematical Social Sciences）等からメカニズム・デザインに関する最近の面白い論文をいくつか選んで講読する。

平常点（論文の報告、宿題等）によって評価する。
すべての参加者が論文を報告できるように予習をしておくことが必要である。また演習後に、各自論文の拡張性、発展性を検討して、新しい研究成果をあげることが望まれる。
Barbera, S. (2001)とJackson, M.O. (2001)のサーベイ論文を読んで報告できるように準備しておくこと。第2回目の授業の前日までに、私宛（ohseto@tohoku.ac.jp）に「氏名、所属、学年、学籍番号、履修したい科目名、自己紹介（200字程度）、サーベイ論文を読んだ感想（500字程度）」を電子メールで送ること。
