経営史とは、企業がその時代に直面した経営上の問題をどのように解決したのか、また企業行動にどのような背景があり、それはいかなる成果に帰結したのかを解明する学問である。本講義では、現代日本の多くの産業でも重要な位置を占めている企業グループの原型であった財閥の形成・発展・解体過程について具体例を用いて議論する。
Business history is the study of how companies solved the business problems they faced in their time, the background to their actions, and the results they achieved. In this lecture, we will use specific examples to discuss the formation, development, and dismantling process of Zaibatsu, which were the prototype of corporate groups that also occupy an important position in many modern Japanese industries.
（1）歴史の中で企業の果たす意義と可能性を考える。
（2）経営環境や歴史的条件などの制約の中で、経営者の意思や主体的な選択が、歴史にどのような影響を与えたのかを学ぶ。
（3）企業の経営戦略や組織構造が決定される要因や因果関係について理解する。
To understand the formation process of the stock company system by focusing on management's will and independent choice.
第1回：イントロダクション/Introduction
第2−6回：財閥の形成/The formation of the Zaibatsu
第7-10回：財閥の発展/The development of the Zaibatsu
第11-14回：財閥の変容/The transformation of the Zaibatsu
第15回：まとめと理解度確認セッション/Conclusion and final examination
理解度確認セッション：60％、平常点：40%
Test 60%, Class performance 40%
予習：理解度を深めるためにも事前学習が望まれる。
復習：前回までの知識を前提として授業をすすめるため、復習は必須である。
使用言語：講義は日本語で行い、レポートは日本語か英語とする。
