Introduction to Accounting

会計はビジネスに必須のコミュニケーション・ツールであり、しばしばビジネスの共通言語と表現される。会計の役割は、財務報告のサプライチェーンに携わる利害関係者間のコミュニケーションを促進することであり、会計情報は各利害関係者の意思決定を支える基礎となる。
この授業は会計に関する基礎的な知識や技術を習得することを目的とする。主たる会計情報である損益計算書や貸借対照表などの財務諸表を利用できるようになるためには、その作成方法である複式簿記を学ぶことが有益である。授業では複式簿記の仕組みについても説明する。
Accounting is an essential communication tool for business and is often called "the language of business." The role of accounting is considered to facilitate communication between participants in the financial reporting supply chain. Accounting information becomes the basis of decision-making by each stakeholder.
This class aims to acquire the basic knowledge and skills of accounting. It is useful to learn double-entry bookkeeping because financial statements such as income statement and balance sheet are prepared based on it. The class explains the system of it.
以下を学習の到達目標とする。
・財務諸表を作成する仕組みとしての簿記を理解すること
・実際に手を動かすことによって、簿記の実践スキルを習得すること(レベルとしては日商簿記検定3級程度、一部2級レベルの内容を追加)
・財務諸表に記載されている会計情報の内容や、企業会計や企業経営に関連する新聞・雑誌記事の内容をある程度理解できる

The learning goals are as follows:
・Acquiring the knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping as a mechanism for preparing financial statements.
・Acquiring the practical skills of double-entry bookkeeping (about 3rd or 2nd level of Nissho Bookkeeping
Examination)
・Acquiring the knowledge to understand the accounting information in financial statements and applying it when reading newspapers and journal articles

小課題(30%)と理解度確認セッション(70%)により評価します。
復習として、授業で説明したテキストの該当箇所を読み、設例やワークブックの練習問題を解くことを勧めます。
履修者が 300 名を超えた場合、経済学部以外の学部からの履修を認めない場合があります。
教科書、参考書ともに、第1回目の講義では使用しません。初回講義を聞いて、4月中に購入してもらったので結構です。
講義のうち1回、外部講師を招いて公認会計士制度説明会を実施する予定です(仮)。
