Special Seminar on Multicultural Understanding PBL 多文化理解PBL特別演習
Collaborative projects by students with diverse cultural backgrounds are built into the learner-centered lessons where different ways of thinking, values, communication as well as working-styles are respected. The intensive interactions across cultures enable students to develop global competency, which is an essential element of employability in the international society. The theme of this semester is "Owarai," the Japanese comedy. The class will be conducted in English,
文化背景の異なるチームメンバーと課題解決型の協働プロジェクトに取り組むことで、異文化理解力、コミュニケーション力、チームワーク、リーダシップ、自発性、企画力、創造力、行動力などの、国際社会で活躍するために必要なグローバル・コンピテンシーを身につける。日本の伝統・ポップカルチャーの「お笑い」をテーマとする。授業の学習言語は英語だが、補完的に日本語による支援も行う。
This intercultural collaborative learning class incorporates both problem-based and project-based learning. By planning and carrying out a project with people from diverse backgrounds, students are expected to develop 1. intercultural communication skills, 2. project management skills, 3.teamwork and leadership in a global context, 4. creativity, 5, autonomy, and 6. critical thinking skills, while deepening understanding about the Japanese comedy.
言語・文化背景の違う多様な学生と英語で協働プロジェクトに取り組むことで、１．異文化間コミュニケーション・スキル、２．プロジェクト・マネジメント力、３．グローバルな環境でのチームワークやリーダーシップ力、４．創造力、５．自発性、６．批判的思考力を身につける。

Preparation for classes and projects and participation in graduate student meetings (about 1-2 hours per week) 授業の予習、グループ単位のプロジェクトに関する話し合い・準備、大学院生合同ミーティング等（目安1～２時間/週）
PC is required in every class, except the first class where we spend most of the time on class guidance and ice-breaking activities. 必要。初回授業はガイダンスやアイスブレーキングが中心となるため不要。
