博士リテラシーの基礎
Basic Ph.D. Literacy
本科目では、博士リテラシーを、博士として（研究者として、人として）生き抜いていくための総合力と捉えます。その中核をなすのは、言うまでもなく研究の遂行能力（研究力）です。そこには、発想力や論理力も含まれます。この資質・能力は、主に研究室の日常を通して磨かれていきます。そして、その殆どが分野を越えて活用できるものなのです。本科目では、このことへの気付きからスタートします。さらに、皆さんが学位を取得した後、アカデミアに進むにしても、企業などに進むにしても、さらに必要とされる資質・能力がいくつかあります。それらは、人と人との関わり合いに絡んでくるものです。身近な人とのコミュニケーション力や、プロジェクト遂行のためのマネージメント力などがまず挙げられます。本科目の主要部分では、これらの資質・能力の底上げを図ることを目指しています。個人の課題から世界の課題まで皆さんそれぞれの問題意識を喚起し、その後の成長の糧となることや、異なる分野に属する受講生同士が新たな人的ネットワークを構築する場となることも目指しています。
In this course, Ph.D. literacy is viewed as a comprehensive ability to survive as a doctor (as a researcher and as a person). At its core is the ability to conduct research (research capability). This includes the ability to come up with ideas and use logic. The research capability is refined mainly through daily life in the laboratory. And most of them can be used across disciplines. This course will start with an awareness of this fact. Further, there are some additional qualities and capabilities that you will need after you obtain your degree, irrespective of whether you go into academia or business. They are those that involve people-to-people relationships. The first ones are the ability to communicate with the people close to you and the management skills to execute projects. In the main part of this course, we aim to raise the level of these qualities and capabilities. It also aims to arouse your awareness of issues ranging from personal to global and to provide an opportunity for students in different fields to build new human networks.

Understand the qualities and abilities required to live a full of self-confidence and fulfilling life as a doctor.
前期と後期に同様の内容で実施しますので、どちらかを履修してください。
前後期とも、対面で実施する予定です。
授業では、受講者同士の対話を重視します。

１. 研究の中のトランスファラブルスキル
皆さんが社会に出てから果たす役割、そこで必要とされる能力について考えます。どのような仕事をする場合でも必要となるトランスファラブルスキルとは何かを理解し、それらの多くが普段の研究活動の中で身につくことへの気付きの機会を提供します。
２. 人間理解とコミュニケーション力 （合宿、出席必須）
互いにやり取りする活動を通して、コミュニケーションが情報のみならず感情をも分かち合うものであること、自己理解と他者理解が不可分のものであることなどを理解します。組織マネージメントとリーダーシップの基本についても触れるとともに、簡単なディベートも行います。
３. プロジェクトマネージメントの基礎 （3回）
皆さんの日常生活から、推進中の研究・開発にも必要となるプロジェクトマネージメントを体験学習します。具体的には、ゴールと現在との乖離を明らかにする「ギャップ解析」、ゴール達成の障害要因の洗い出しを行う「Fishbone」, 要因の重みづけと優先順位を決めるための「Pareto 分析」、計画各部の相互依存性を明らかにし、計画の実践をトラッキングする「Gantt chart」等をグループ学習で体験します。また、「論理性とMECE(漏れなく、重複なく)」の概念、ゴール達成のためのキーとなる「Critical path分析」と実現のための「代替案」の重要性について演習を通じ体得します。
４. Research Integrity（誠実な研究）とはなにか
研究の場においては、いわゆる論文不正やオーサーシップに関する「研究倫理（Research Ethic）」から、オープンサイエンス時代に対応した「公正な研究(Research Integrity)」への拡張が進みつつあります。その意味するところについて、ともに考えてみます。
５. サイエンスとトランスサイエンス （2回）
科学の本質的限界と、科学と社会の間に横たわる問題について考えます。次に、科学から発しているが、科学は答えを出せないトランスサイエンスといわれる問題について、グループワークと発表会を行います。

1. Transferable skills in research activity
We will consider the roles you will play in society and the skills you will need there. We will provide you with an opportunity to understand what transferable skills you will need for any job and to realize that many of them can be acquired in your daily research activities.
2. Understanding of people and the power of communication (Training camp; Attendance is required)
Through some interactive exercises, we learn communication is not only about sharing information but also about mutual understanding. Moreover, the essential points for organization management and leadership will be explained.
3. Fundamental project management (Three times)
Through this course, you will learn project management (PM) which is mandated from your daily life to your research and developments, and much more after joining a company or academia. Major contents include Gap analysis which will clarify the difference between the current status and the goal, Fishbone which will show all the elements contributing to the issue, Pareto analysis which will show the priority with weighting, and Gannt chart which will show the dependency of each task and be used to track down the whole schedule. Moreover, you will learn the important concepts of logical discussions and MECE (Mutually Exclusive and Collectively Exhaustive), on top of Critical path analysis and Alternatives which are the very keys to successful project management.
4. What is Research Integrity?
At the forefront of scientific research, the concept of "research ethic”, which is concerned with so-called "research misconduct (FFP: fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism)" and "improper authorship”, is being expanded to "research integrity" in response to the age of open science. We will discuss the implications of this trend together in this class.
5. Science and trans-science
We will consider the essential limits of science and the problems that lie between science and society. Next, group work and presentations will be given on trans-scientific issues that emanate from science but to which science is unable to provide answers.
