授業時間外学修/Preparation and Review

First and foremost, you must learn to manage your time. What you are expected to do before class is to check definitions, parts of speech, and example sentences of any words you do not know in Pathways to Academic English for III [PDF Textbook], check the syllabus and preview what we will learn in class. As part of homework, (1) you’re required to briefly summarize at least one paper abstract you can find on the Researcher app on your computer, smartphone or tablet and save your summary on a single document file (e.g., Pages, Word, or Google Docs). (2) You create your Quizlet account with which you make your own lists of academic words you find on the abstracts so that you can check pronunciation, definitions, and parts of speech on the go. Save a screenshot of each study set. (3) Work on at least one writing topic on Write and Improve with Cambridge. Save a screenshot of each writing entry. These pieces of homework are given every other week.
