地球と生命のシステムを理解する / Understanding Earth and Life system
太陽系惑星としての地球の特徴を学ぶとともに，地球が形成されてから今日に至るまでの地球環境と生物の変遷を理解する．また，そのシステムが我々に及ぼす影響が最も大きいジオハザード（低頻度巨大災害）に関する知識も学ぶ．
The purpose of this lecture is to learn the features of the Earth as a solar system planet, and to understand the environmental changes and life evolution on the Earth. In addition, the purpose is to learn knowledges of geo-hazards (low frequency large disasters) that strongly affect our society.
地球の環境の変遷と生命の進化の関係を理解する．また，地球環境をとりまく諸問題（ジオハザードや地球温暖化・気候変動）を地球科学的な視点から認識する.
The goal of this course is to understand the relationship between the Earth environment and evolution of life, and also to recognize various problems surrounding the global environment (geo hazards, global warming, and climate change) from a geoscientific view point.

8．古海洋・掘削科学 / Paleoceanography and Ocean Drilling
9．近現代の気候変動 / Modern Climate Change
10．SF映画の背景にある地球科学 / Science Fiction and Earth Science
