【国際共修】教育者を志す人の異文化間トレーニング (日本語)
Intercultural Training for Future Educators (Japanese)
グローバル化・多様化が進む現代社会において、日本の教育現場においても、学習者の国籍・文化・言語が多様化し、文化や社会背景の異なる人と共に暮らし、学び、働いていくための能力が、今までになく重要となってきている。そうした社会背景の中、本科目では、異文化間コミュニケーションにまつわる理論を学び、私たちの視点、思考、行動、価値観などへの文化の影響について理解を深めるだけでなく、異文化間コミュニケーションをめぐる認識への批判的な考察も加えた上での異文化間の人間関係やコミュニケーションのあり方を検討する。また、日本社会のマジョリティ集団である日本人の特権、マイノリティの差異に対する差別・偏見・ステレオタイプといった概念についても理解を深め、グローバル化に即した市民性の育成を担う教育者の在り方を考える。
この授業は全て日本語で行います。専門的な概念を学び、議論するため、N1程度の日本語能力が必要となります。
As society is increasingly globalized and diversified, even in Japanese educational settings, learners’ nationalities, cultures, and languages become more diverse, so competencies to live, learn, and work with people from different cultural and social backgrounds have become more crucial than ever. In this course, students will explore the theories necessary for intercultural communication, deepen their understanding of the influence of culture on their perspectives, ways of thinking, behavior, and values, and examine the nature of intercultural relationships and communication through critical discussion on the perceptions surrounding intercultural communication. Students will also deepen their understanding of the privilege of the Japanese as a majority group in Japanese society and the concepts of discrimination, prejudice, and stereotypes against minorities, and they also consider the role of educators in fostering citizenship in their students in the current context of globalization.
This course will be conducted entirely in Japanese. N1 level of Japanese language proficiency is required since students will study and discuss academic concepts.
本科目の学習目標は下記の通りです。
1. 文化背景の異なる人とのコミュニケーション及び協働において、重要な概念を理解し、説明できる。
2. 自己の文化的背景や社会的な立ち位置を認識し、それがどのように自分の視点、思考、行動、価値観などに影響を与えているかを自省的・批判的に分析できる。
3. 文化と密接な関係にある人種、ジェンダー、言語、国籍など私たちのアイデンティティの様々な側面がどのように個人や集団間の権力関係に影響を及ぼし、差別、偏見といった問題につながっているのかを説明できる。
The learning objectives of this course are as follows:
Students could
1. understand and explain key concepts in communicating and collaborating with people from different cultural backgrounds.
2. recognize their cultural background and social position and reflectively and critically analyze how it influences their perspectives, thoughts, actions, and values.
3. explain how various aspects of their own identities, such as race, gender, language, and nationality, which are closely related to culture, influence power relations among individuals and groups, leading to discrimination and prejudice.

原則3回以上の欠席は合格基準点以下となります（単位取得不可）。欠席に特別な理由がある場合は、事前に理由書を提出してください。2回の遅刻（授業開始後20分）は1回の欠席とみなします。

Grades will be evaluated based on the student's academic achievement and contribution in the following areas.
30% Class participation and contribution

More than three (3) absences will result in a fail (F) for the class. Two (2) late arrivals (more than 20 minutes late) equal one (1) absence.
The grading standards of Tohoku University are as follows.
AA: 90-100 points

B: Fair 70-79 points
C: Passing 60-69 points
D: 59 points and below
本科目で提示されている学習目標を達成するために、各自で必要な予習・復習及び関連学習（週4時間程度）を行うことが期待されます。
本科目では指定の教科書はありませんが、各授業回のテーマに沿った論文・記事・動画（英語資料も有る）を課題図書として適宜指示します。課題図書を読んだうえで、授業に参加してください。
Students are expected to do the necessary preparation, review, and related studies (about 4 hours per week) to achieve the learning objectives presented in this course.
There is no designated textbook for this course, but papers, articles, and videos (some in English) on the theme of each class will be provided. Please read the assigned readings before participating in the class.
必要です。この科目では、対面授業が基本ですが、外部講師やゲスト・スピーカーはオンラインでの参加になるため、各自PCとヘッドセットを用意してください。
This course will be conducted face-to-face. However, external lecturers and guest speakers will join classes online, so students must bring their PC and headset to face-to-face classes.
定員30名とします。希望者多数の場合には選考を行うことがあるため、第１回の授業に必ず出席してください。
