キャリア教育特別講義（河北新報・東北を拓く新聞論）
Career Education Special Lecture (Opening up Tohoku's future through the news)
東北地方の新聞社として長い歴史を持つ河北新報社による特別講義。
地方都市においての新聞社の果たす役割と地方紙の意義について、記者を中心に様々な事業部から講義・演習にご登壇いただく。授業では、地方紙の立場から東北が置かれた社会的環境を理解するための視点を提示するとともに、東日本大震災からの復興や防災に対して同社が行ってきた報道や取り組みを踏まえ、東北の未来を創造していく上で新聞などマスメディアが果たすべき役割やその可能性などについて学生とともに考えていく。
This is a course endowed by Kahoku Shimpo Publishing Co. that has a long tradition as a media outlet in the Tohoku area. The role of newspapers in local cities and the significance of local newspapers will be discussed in lectures and exercises led by journalists from various divisions.
Reporters of the company who continue reporting on the Great East Japan Earthquake are in charge of lectures and practice. This course explores the role and possibilities for the local press to pave the way to Tohoku's future.

This course is designed to help students understand the relationship between media and the local area, and explain the role of a local paper. Through clarr, we expect to students can discuss the possible new functions of local media.
