日本の天然物有機化学における代表的シンポジウムである天然有機化合物討論会の講演要旨集を教材として，生物活性天然物の全合成および構造決定を行うために必要な合成設計法，有機化学反応，有機構造分析法，および生理機能解析法を理解・修得することを目的とする。各回の担当大学院生を決め，あらかじめ学習した講演内容をパワーポイントを使って発表・解説し，質疑応答を行う。適宜，教員による解説を加える。
This class provides students with advanced knowledge on synthetic design, structural determination, and biological activity of natural organic molecules. The contents include lectures by professors and presentation by students on topics presented in Symposium on the Chemistry of Natural Products.

The purpose of this class is to help students acquire advanced knowledge on total synthesis, structural determination, and evaluation of biological activity of natural products. This class is also aimed at helping students improve their presentation ability.
