日本農業史

Japanese Agricultural History

授業の目的と概要/Object and Summary of Class

　農業は、人類の文明とともに古い歴史を持っている。本講義は、原始から現代に至る日本列島上における農業の歩みを、農業技術と社会構造との相互規定的な関係性に留意しながら概観することを目的とする。過去の農業の姿について具体的なイメージを作るため、出来る限り図画・映像資料等を盛り込む予定である。
　討論の時間を各回の最後に15分ほど取るので、受講生からの積極的な発言・討論を期待したい。

　Agriculture has along history. In this course, student will understand the origin of agriculture and learn about Japanese agriculture has undergone, based on historical background, using visual materials.
　This is a lecture-centered course, however, in every class, we will have a discussion time in the last 15 minutes to the end. Positive participation in classes is expected.

１）日本農業の歴史的な変化を通時的に説明できるようになること。
（２）農業のあり方から時代や社会の特徴を広く見渡せるような視点を身につけること。

Students are expected to
(1) Be able to explain how the agriculture of Japan changed and developed based on the historical thinking.
(2) Gain the knowledge how agricultural sector characterizes the society at each period.
