沿岸域フィールドにおける生物多様性（生態系、種、遺伝子）について学ぶ。
Learning about biodiversity (ecological, spesies and genetic diversity)
寒流(親潮)と暖流(黒潮)が混合する海域に位置し、対馬暖流が沿岸域を南下する三陸沿岸の生物の多様性、環境の多様性を実感し、その重要性を知ることを目的とする。具体的には東北大学農学部の女川フィールドセンターに宿泊して、実際に沿岸岩礁域潮間帯で生物を採集、形態による分類とその機能、分布域との関連性を調べ、種、形態、分布、生態、環境、機能等の多様性について考察する。
