Environmental economics and food production system

授業の目的と概要/Object and Summary of Class

環境問題について経済学における論理や分析手法の基本について解説します。また、あわせて食料生産における環境問題を経済学の視点から捉えます。
The basics of economic theory and analytical methods regarding environmental issues will be explained in this course. And we will examine environmental issues in food production from environmental economics approach.

・環境経済学における基礎的な概念について理解します。
・さまざまな地域環境、地球環境の問題について、環境経済学の視点からのアプローチを習得します。
・食料・農業分野を例に環境問題に関する政府介入の背景と論理について理解します。
Students aim at understanding;
1) the basic concepts in environmental economics.,
2) various approaches for addressing local and global environmental issues from the perspective of environmental economics,
3) the background and reasons of government intervention regarding environmental issues especially in the food and agriculture sector.

2/3 以上の出席を要し、レポート、質問（クラスルーム）、試験で評価します。
More than 2/3 of attendance will be required. The evaluation will be based on examination and term paper.
